Not all weddings are huge, and not all weddings need to be held in a venue with an organised seating arrangement and a structured plan for the day. If you’re having an intimate wedding and have a lovely space in your own home, then why not consider having your reception at home? You’ve probably hosted a Christmas day dinner for a number of people before, so imagine turning your front room or dining room into a magical wedding reception!
We’re not suggesting you cook too, it is your wedding after all, for this you could hire caterers or a private chef for the day, but transforming a space within your own home into a beautiful setting is easier than you think. Stunning floral arrangements, candles, pretty table linens and some decorative details are all you need. We wouldn’t suggest choosing a specific theme if there are only a few of you at home as this could look a bit OTT, but selecting a neutral colour scheme and adding splashes of colour in the form of flowers and table settings will look incredible.
