All wedding days are memorable, and yet Laura and Alessio’s special day in Florence is one that we at Zankyou will always look back on with particular fondness. Captured on camera by the wonderful Alice Pastorelli Photography, this couple’s nuptials stood out to us immediately because of the palpable joy that shines through in all of their photos. Indeed, most people are happy on their wedding day (often mixed in with some nerves too!), and yet the absolute elation felt by Laura and Alessio shines brighter than we have ever seen before. Not only hosted in one of the most stunning locations in Italy, this wedding was classical, intimate, and – best of all – filled with love.
Prepping separately, but then meeting one another in private before their trip down the aisle, Laura and Alessio both made statements with their wedding looks; Alessio, for his incredible moustache and very James Bond-esque suit, and Laura for her gorgeous Inmaculada Garcia gown (who remains one of our favourite designers!). With a stunning bouquet of deep red roses – a classical bridal staple that we can always rely on! – the bride could not have looked more picturesque as she and her soon-to-be husband exchanged vows in their outdoor venue.
And, as we have come to expect from Italian weddings, the reception and party were absolutely fabulous! With a spectacular view of the Florentine countryside and mountains, and adhering to a very traditional white colour scheme, the reception meal was a very classy event for Laura, Alessio and their closest friends and family to all enjoy together. And following the meal – and the popping of the champagne! – there was plenty of dancing thanks to the music provided by the innovative Coqò Djette.
We owe a large thank you to Alice Pastorelli for letting us showcase Laura and Alessio’s beautiful, traditional wedding day – the perfect source of inspiration for any of you looking to get married in Italy and host the perfect Destination Wedding. And if you’re looking for the perfect photographer for that Destination Wedding – or one at home! – then Alice comes highly recommended. Able to capture the spontaneous moments, and with a very good eye for detail, Alice’s photography always paints an intimate portrait of human emotion.
