Kate and Laurence were married at the Luton Loo Hotel in Bedfordshire this past summer, in a classical style wedding – complete with the sweetest little bridesmaids and picture-perfect pastel floral arrangements. The day began as the bride and groom prepared separately, before being reunited at the end of the aisle in front of a whole crowd of their family and friends. Their chosen venue was a fantastic fit for the traditional – with a hint of vintage – theme they instilled in their wedding day, and the gorgeous gardens served as the perfect backdrop for some stunning couple shots by their photographer Rob Dodsworth.
Kate’s beautiful allover lace dress with 3/4 length sleeves was designed by the indomitable Kate Halfpenny at Halfpenny London – this designer specialises in creating vintage gowns for the modern woman, perfectly fitting with Kate and Laurence’s classical theme for their big day. Indeed, with her nude/blush bouquet, Kate was a picturesque bride – and we loved the little gold touches in her shoes and her hair accessories! At the same time, Laurence looked dashing in a fitted Navy suit with a deep magneta tie, and together, well… we couldn’t imagine a couple better suited to one another!
The wonderful photography was provided by the ever-dependable Rob Dodsworth. With a skill so well trained that it seems absolutely effortless, Rob focuses on catching the spontaneous moments throughout the day – from the bride’s preparations to snapping the last couple left on the dancefloor. Discovering novel angles to take pictures from, and with excellent instincts, Rob is a completely unobtrusive presence on your big day. If you’re not a fan of having your photo taken, then he is definitely your guy, and will make you feel totally at ease – whilst also capturing the most incredible pictures!
