Hello lovelies, I am so excited to be posting here at Zankyou. As a newly engaged bride-to-be this website is now my best friend!
So, who am I? My name is Jillian Elizabeth and I am a bridal hair and makeup artist from Scotland. I have over 10 years experience working in the industry and I can honestly say I have my dream job! I also run Bride to Beauty Blog, a blog dedicated to brides, weddings and beauty.
Today I am talking about 5 of my favourite beauty products for brides to be. Working in the wedding beauty industry, I use hundreds of different products a day, and these are the ones that stick out as amazing to me.
1. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque (£34 – 125ml)
I am so in love with this facemask, I always make sure I have a tub of this at home and in my kit for dry and dehydrated skin. Everyone’s skin can do with a little extra hydration, so even if you don’t have dry skin, this face mask is for you. This gel like formula sinks into the skin and leaves it super soft and hydrated. Use this the night before your wedding so that your skin is in the best possible condition, and if you get sunburnt then slap some of this on your burnt bits to ease the pain.

2. Mac Lipstick in Faux (£17.50 – 3g)
Most of my brides want a nude lipstick that adds a hint of colour and is similar to their natural lip colour. I always recommend Faux as it is a gorgeous mauvy pink colour with a satin finish. It is longwearing, however, and will need topping up after your meal.

3. Urban Decay De-slick Make up Setting Spray (£24 – 118ml)
Lots of my brides worry about oily areas of their skin, mostly the T-zone, which is the forehead, nose and chin (basically a T shape on your face). I love this setting spray as not only does it keep your makeup in place all night, it also helps to control shiny areas of your skin. My top tip is to spray it on your face both before and after your makeup application.

4. Janssen Cosmetics Beautiful Eyes Set
Dehydrated skin can cause fine lines and wrinkles to look more prominent, so it is really important to look after the delicate skin under your eyes and keep them hydrated. I love these eye masks and ampules, they work together perfectly to hydrate the delicate under eye skin.
5. Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation (£32 – 40ml)
I love using this foundation on my brides as it provides a beautiful, sheer coverage and can be built up to provide a heavier coverage. It sits so beautifully on the skin and looks so fresh and natural. This is my go to foundation for brides who want their skin to look like real skin and not like a mask.
