All of us plan for the worst when we’re getting married – we make contingency plans for if someone is ill, or the rings get lost in transit, or if the car breaks down on the way to the ceremony. However, there are some things that seem too unlikely to waste time thinking about, like the venue burning down, for example…

Showing remarkable resilience in the face of a disaster that many couples would have struggled to cope with, Tara and Greg quickly collected themselves, and reorganised themselves, marrying in a stunning outside ceremony amongst the backdrop of the Remarkables mountain range (a fitting name for such an event!). Their exchange of vows was both romantic and tender, and this sentiment was echoed a hundred times over in the profound speeches made at their reception at a private venue in Jack’s Point, situated 20 minutes out of Queenstown.

Tara and Greg adopted a classical style for their wedding, with the bride donning a gorgeous Watters gown with a beaded fitted bodice and tulle skirt, and the groom and his best men all wearing plum in unison. Indeed, alongside the picturesque New Zealand scenery captured in the background by the remarkably talented TJ and Shaun at the UK-based Lemon Tree Film House, the lingering image of Tara and Greg’s ceremony cannot fail to make anyone’s jaw drop in awe.

After their exchange of vows, Tara and Greg made their day even more spectacular, travelling via private helicopter to a secluded mountainous area, and posing for their wedding photos. Amongst the glowing white snow, the couple looked serene and overcome by joy at their union. We at Zankyou wish them all the best for their future together – we have no doubt that they’ll make a fantastic team together!
