Jenny and John’s big day in Cape Town was as close as any one wedding can come to a fairytale. Taking place in the gorgeous South African countryside, in the beauty of nature and all of its wonder, this couples’ ceremony and reception were simply enchanting. Their choice of venue, the Nooitgedacht Estate only added to this sense of luxury and grace, with its rustic exterior and modern décor, including geometric lighting and ample floral hangings. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Jenny and John tied the knot in a place that all of us at home could only dream of.
Every part of this wedding was planned to perfection, and every individual element came together. One of the most amazing details, however, was Jenny’s dress, designed by the indomitable Monique Lhuillier. This couture designer, who is also responsible for the Bliss range, knows exactly how to make wedding dresses that look incredible, and Jenny is a wonderful example – with her illusion-sleeved princess dress, elegant up-do, and refined jewellery, she was truly a breathtaking bride. And of course, John was also dashing in his three-piece suit with light blue accessories and a peach boutonnière; all of the ingredients for the perfect groom!
However, as wonderful as they looked apart, Jenny and John’s best looks came when they were brought together on their wedding day. The emotion was palpable as they said their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed their wedding with a kiss, and their post-wedding couple shoot with the supremely-talented Andrea Kellan only furthered this. The light from the setting sun made these images utterly ethereal, as if taken from a film. The couple then ventured onto their reception, where they cut their naked wedding cake, greeted guests, and danced the night away as husband and wife.
And we have to say a massive thank you to the aforementioned Andrea Kellan for her skill in capturing this incredible wedding on camera.
