Andrea Cofano describes his passion. Andrea is a wedding photojournalist, a term which perfectly describes his style of work. He is a photographer who captures each moment and creates images which tell a beautiful story. Observation is a key skill which enables him to capture the most intimate moments of a wedding.
Andrea was born in Rome and has always had a passion for art. First it was painting and poetry, following in the footsteps of his mother. Then photography, thanks to the influence of his grandfather and uncle who passed on their passion. One day he received a gift that changed his life forever – an SLR Camera. What then began as a hobby, has now turned into his career. Curiosity and the desire to tell stories through images are what motivated him to persure his passion.
‘… With photography the most difficult thing is trying to tell the whole story without including insignificant and boring images. Each wedding is different, you just need to be observant and never take anything for granted.
Chosing a wedding photographer is not easy, it’s a bit like walking into a jungle – you have to be prepared! You must know what you want, be clear and assertive. I am a member of several professional associations (TauVisual, WPJA and Fearless) which protect both photographers and clients. I highly recommend choosing a professional photographer who is serious about their work. After all, when the wedding day is over, all that remains are the photos… ‘
I like to offer more choice for couples who do not want just a standard photo album. I call it the “Sweet Box” – a hand decorated wooden box which can be customised depending on the taste of the clients. It contains the most momentous images from the day (50-60 prints 12×18) and a pen drive that include all pictures in HD and a slideshow. I think it is a beautiful and unique option, it is less expensive and is also reusable!’
