Storytelling through images is Francesco Fornaini‘s passion. He will be narrating your wedding day in the most special way. For him, accompanying weddings is always as professional and serious as photojournalism – therefore, every single moment, emotion, scene and detail is immortalized and faithfully reported just as they happened. Additionally, Fornaini is following the sequence of events, from dressing to party – and in the end you’ll get the story of your wedding as a beautiful photo album. We’ve talked to Francesco Fornaini about his work, his passions and his views on wedding photography:
Warm and vibrant – Photography by Francesco Fornaini
The professional follows a style that is in constant evolution. It’s a mixture between photojournalism and art. He gets his most of his inspiration from Renaissance paintings. The photographer, born in the Italian region of Tuscany, comes from an artistic family and learned from his father, who works as a painter, a lot about beautiful art in all of its forms. After several years of studying and hard work, he gained excepcional experience as a photographer and knows exactly how to get the perfect pictures of your wedding.
He knows that light and posture are as important for a photographer as they were for Renaissance painters, who used diffuse and ambient light to enhance softness and nuances of romantic sceneries. Therefore, he always arrives at your wedding at least one hour before the dressing begins and searches for the right light and the most beautiful perspectives on the interaction between you as a couple and your friends and family. As a fan of photojournalism, he also searches for the authenticity of situations, emotions, poses and looks. Francesco Fornaini always lets you be yourself, regardless of his presence. He has an aura of being present and absent at the same time, an observer who moves in the most silent way to capture every emotion as it happens.
How it all started
Francesco has always been passionate about photography. It fascinated him how an object so cold like a camera could manage to capture such intimate and exciting moments like a wedding kiss. He’s always been attracted to catch those gestures, those looks between couples to transform them into images that will help cherish them forever. For him, its always a pleasure to tell a story. He includes even the tiniest moments into his storytelling – and that’s also his key feature as a wedding photographer. He digs, observes and captures the most incredible moments to keep over time for future generations.

For Fornaini, the connection with the couple is the essential. He needs to know their wishes, dreams and ideas for the wedding to get a grasp on what they wish to have in their wedding album. To achieve a good relationship with them, he takes time to know them on a personal level. He will meet them before the wedding and talks openly with them about their expectations for the big day.
Important questions for the couple
We’ve asked Francesco Fornaini about the most important questions he would ask himself if he were to get married, and he gave us helpful advice:
“I would ask myself: Who will be there to shoot on my wedding day? How will the photoshoot be managed from the beginning to the end of the event? Who does what, how and when? And I would talk openly to the photographer about our wishes: Don’t take us away and spend too much time with the photographys because there may be a risk that the guests will get bored. I’m not so photogenic in the picture and I don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera. What could you do to remedy this problem of mine? What could be the solution to look natural and relaxed in photos?”
His number one on the agenda
For Francesco Fornaini, his couples are his number one priority. He always takes time to live the most special moments with them himself – to understand every detail, every smile, every kiss and to get a grasp at when to take the perfect picture. He also likes to connect with the couples afterwards to learn more about what they liked and what he should improve in the future. Francesco is continuously evolving, working on his technique and style. That’s what makes him one of the most special photographers in the whole country.
