This weekend The Unconventional Wedding Festival will take place at Stanford Hall, a stunning country house in the heart of the Midlands. This quirky wedding event is unconventional in every sense of the word. It has been designed to display the latest trends in the wedding industry and is aimed at couples who want to steer away from traditional wedding conventions. That is to say, those couples “looking to be a flamingo amongst a flock of pigeons”.
The Unconventional Wedding Fair sets out to inspire the modern couple to create a wedding event that is truly different and encourages them to dig deep into their wildest imaginations of what their wedding could be. This is achieved through featuring alternative and unique suppliers, performers and with its imaginative setup.
Moving away from the traditional room full of stands, visitors will be able to spend the day wandering around themed Zones, styled to feel like you’re walking into a real wedding. From Sci-Fi to Vintage, Urban to Fairytale, and much more, the themed Zones will showcase the range of suppliers you’ll need to create your very own wedding. Venues, marquee providers, bridalwear and accessories, the wedding festival will have it all!
Festival-goers will be able to witness (mock) wedding ceremonies, wander around the reception venue, sample the delights on offer from the Food and Drink vendors, and enjoy the wide range of entertainment on offer across the site. The consultation areas will then allow you to book to meet suppliers that you are interested in.

As well as the themed Zones, there will be plenty of other exciting features at the festival: A Pop Up Spa will give Festival goers the opportunity to not only find quirky hen party ideas and meet suppliers offering on-the-day wedding preparation and health & beauty services, but it will also let you indulge in a spot of pampering. You will also find a Pop Up Hotel, showcasing the variety of temporary accommodation options available to couples looking to extend their wedding festivities or find a fun hen party idea.
The Style Zone allows Festival goers a closer look at the latest in alternative wedding fashion. You will be able to browse the outfits and accessories, try things on and see first-hand the work and talent that goes into crafting these exquisite creations. Learn ways to add little personal touches to your wedding at one of the demonstrations and attend workshops to get practical wedding planning tips and advice from the experts.
And for those wanting to make the day extra special, you can upgrade to enjoy a VIP experience, which includes VIP parking, fast track entry, exclusive access to the VIP Zone where you’ll be welcomed with a nice chilled glass of bubbly and given lunch vouchers to spend at any of the amazing vendors across the site, and of course, a luxury Goody Bag.
Stanford Hall, nestled on the banks of the River Avon and with 700 acres of ancient parkland, provides the perfect backdrop for The Unconventional Wedding Festival. For those wanting to see inside the Hall, you will be able to participate in the Stanford Hall Experience which will allow you to travel back in time to explore the delights of their Downton Abbey style Weekend House Party Wedding showcase. As part of the Experience, you’ll also be able to sample some of the selection of mouthwatering meats reared on the Estate and their organically grown vegetables, all washed down with a chilled glass of champagne.
