The rumours started a long time ago, but we now have official confirmation from Kensington Palace: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the American actress known for her role in the series of Suits, have got engaged. According to the British Royal House, the couple will go down the altar in the spring of 2018!
The statement that was issued by Buckingham Palace, was as follows: “His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.” In addition, the Twitter account of Kensington Palace has conveyed the joy that Queen Elizabeth II and Philip feel for the happy event.

Kensington Palace has also released a statement from Meghan’s parents, Mr Thomas Markle and Ms. Doria Ragland, where they have expressed their happiness for the impending wedding.

Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle have been dating for about a year and a half. It is said that Prince Harry considered the actress one of his platonic loves years before starting the relationship, before she began to gain fame in the aforementioned television series. The anecdote came to the media through the documentary When Harry Met Meghan, aired on Channel 4.
