Love never changes but how you choose to celebrate it does seem to vary. Amalia and Sergio’s style of wedding is the perfect example of how wedding trends change and how to celebrate your wedding in a unique way.
The preparations
Amalia and Sergio are the perfect example of a typically 2016 couple. A far cry from the traditional bride who follows the rules, Amalia is a millennial through and through. Sergio is also a truly modern man and embodies contemporary style. Amalia’s dress perfectly reflects her personality. It is asymmetric and fitted, with a long train but is short at the front, combining tradition and modernity.
The ceremony
Amalia recalls how finding the perfect location took a long time, but knew that it was important that they found the right venue to suit their wedding whose theme was based on an industrial chic feel with original vintage furniture and decorations. Amalia and Sergio began their wedding celebrations the day before the ceremony at an exclusive resort that they had hired out. On the morning of the wedding, the couple were able to enjoy a relaxing spa session with their friends before getting ready for the ceremony that would take place later on. The spot they chose for the ceremony was in front of a stunning vineyard which made for a beautiful backdrop.
The reception
As expected this wedding reception was wonderfully thought out. Amalia and Sergio chose to keep the lunch menu simple and traditional with a selection of rice-based dishes, which was followed by some more splashing around in the gorgeous outdoor pool. Of course no wedding would be complete without lots of glasses of champagne and a photo booth before a sumptuous sit-down supper. After the cutting of the cake, Amalia and Sergio had arranged for a professional dance troupe to come and perform for their guests before letting everyone showcase their best (and worst) dance moves on the dance floor. All in all, the wedding was a huge success and lasted well into the night!
The icing on the cake (if you’ll pardon the pun), was a very original wedding favour: an ice bucket in which to put bottles of wine – a shared passion of the couple. This was an innovative, millennial-style wedding, which fully incorporated the principles of the Y Generation.
