Lorna and John are the epitome of happiness, love, and vitality. She is stunningly beautiful with features that you would be accustomed to seeing in Italy with the brunette hair and dark chestnut eyes. John, is blue eyed, blonde haired, kind and has a sense of humour that only the Irish are ever lucky enough to be born with. In short, they are the perfect couple.

The Ceremony

The couple had always wanted an Italian wedding, with the Catholic ceremony and the delivious food in a venue that overlooks the Gulf of Portofino. The touching religious ceremony was celebrated in the Church of San Martino in Zoagli where seven bridesmaids accompanied the bride to the altar, all wearing elegant, rose pink dresses. The bouquets of the same colour, were made of garden roses, peonies and orchids. The church was decorated in a very unique and boho-chic way. The groom and his groomsman looked very handsome with their bow ties in rose pink that coordinated with the bridesmaids’ dresses.

The Reception

The guests weren’t the only northern European thing brought to Italy, however. The beer was aplenty, and made for a memorable wedding with the guests drinking and enjoying themselves long into the night.

The reception was hosted in a majestic garden of a historic castle. The sunset created a magical atmosphere, with hundreds of candles lighting up the tables. The flowers of a thousand shades of pink decorated the venue beautifully.
