Kier and Aileen used their wedding day to not only showcase their love for one another, but for London as well. Taking place in the historic, charismatic city centre, their wedding was full of London-themed memorabilia, including the hiring of a traditional London Bus to escort them from their ceremony venue at English Martyrs Catholic Church to their reception at the Garden Museum. However, whilst the city featured heavily in their big day, their wedding really belonged to the two of them – a couple so obviously enamoured with one another, their joy palpable in the photos expertly captured by Miracle Moments Photography.
The vintage theme made so clear by the London Bus was also evident in the finer details of the day. Aileen’s stunning lace gown was reminiscent of the 1950s swing dresses that dominated the British fashion industry for nearly a decade, and the table decorations at the ceremony featured classic British teacups. It is clear that a lot of time and effort went into including these quirky little nods towards their favourite city – and they certainly paid off, creating an atmosphere that was both modern, and a blast-to-the-past.
Their ceremony took place in the beautiful (church), and their reception was held at the equally lovely (name). However, they also had various photoshoots around the city, including along the South Bank, which made for some truly memorable photos. At their reception, the couple and their many guests enjoyed an evening of good food and excellent dancing, joined by their friends and family on their special day.
We at Zankyou wish Kier and Aileen the happiest of futures together, and hope that they can look back on their wedding day with pride and happiness. Have a look at their photos below, and get inspired for planning your own themed wedding!
