They provided a service in a wedding at which I was a guest

The most unexpectedly bad experience :(

The first appointment of trying them on and finding the perfect dress went smoothly but 6 months later when the dress had been made things went downhill.

From the 1st fitting the dress had marks on it. These were consistently highlighted at the 2nd and 3rd fitting with each time our hope and trust in Rosa Clara fading however we kept believing we were in good hands and they would fix it. We (the bridal party) made it clear each time they needed to remove the marks.

Throughout the process Rosa Clara management weren’t empathetic at all and the only solution kept being that they would get the marks out but could never tell us why they weren’t still there or what they were doing to treat it. On the final fitting with marks still on I (bridal party) suggested I come back in 48hrs to see it again, I came back and it was still marked and with the collection date fast approaching Rosa Clara really needed to step up. I spent several hours chasing Rosa Clara over the days leading up to the fitting to ask if all their options of cleaning it had been done, they were so reactive and just didn’t seem to understand the gravity of the issue.

On collection day, 10 days before the wedding, the bride burst into tears at the state of her dress. It was so marked and Rosa Clara simply asked us (the bridal party) what we wanted to do - as if we are the experts! At this point management apologised and took accountability for the mess of the dress but with so little time to resolve it really was too little too late - the dress had over 2 months to be fixed and it hadn’t been.

In the end I (bridal party) suggested they make a brand new skirt for the dress. The Rosa Clara seamstress did just that and within 3 days had a new skirt made and attached and taken to the Bride to be fitted. The outcome was a dress the bride could wear on her wedding day however without this being my idea I really don’t know what we’d have done as Rosa Clara weren’t offering any solutions.

Now, almost a week after the wedding, Rosa Clara haven’t reached out to provide compensation or apologise for the emotional distress they caused. The time taken off work to come in on extra occasions and the countless telephone conversations repeating the situation all seem to be acceptable to Rosa Clara.

Collecting your wedding dress should be a day of excitement and smiles, for us it was stress, disaster recovery and comforting the distressed bride and mother of the bride.

I would avoid Rosa Clara, I don’t feel you can trust them to hold up their side of the bargain and for a bridal retailer it simply isn’t good enough.

I could not reccomend Rosa Clara more highly!

Their dresses are beautiful, Michelle and Paulina could not have been more helpful and friendly. They helped me to find the perfect dress, never putting any pressure on me to make a decision and they made fitting appointments / alterations an entirely seemless process. Thank you for making it an incredibly memorable and special experience.

I visited the Rosa Clara store in London last Friday. Melissa could not have been more helpful- she listened to all my requests and was very patient. She managed to find me the perfect dress!
