Introducing the men’s Spring Summer collection for 2016 by Burberry, a brand name very well know for its formality and debonair style. This collection features tailored silhouettes, lace detailing and lightweight scarves. The show also proudly presents a new addition to The Heritage Trench Coat Collection, The Chelsea.

The show took place in a structure specifically created for Burberry opposite the Royal Albert Hall. Due to the fine summer weather, the structure was mainly open air and complimented by wild English flowerbeds filled with foxgloves and hazel, and peacocks roaming the grounds. The presentation was supported by British musician, Rhodes who performed live at the show accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra performing and playing specially created music.

The show was named ‘Strait-Laced’ and gave the illusion of a real formal and traditional expectation but it introduced a poetry like theme with the mixing of fabrics, it gives a very creative and unexpected twist to the usual same style garments. Other elements prominent within the show were knitted joggers, lace-trimmed scarves and the all new Chelsea trench coat – a tailored, slim-fit design of the British-made original.

It was also the first time that women walked this Burberry catwalk, and they sported delicate lace dresses from the women’s Spring/Summer 2016 Pre-Collection, this added a real different appeal and approach to the collection and presentation.
