A simple, elegant collection comprising of numerous differing styles. The French luxury fashion house raised the stakes by hosting the show at a casino themed set. The celebrity-flooded event kicked off in style under the roof of Grand Palais, Paris. A grand, modern-deco look featured a raised stage area as a feature in the centre floor anchored by roulette and blackjack tables.

The temporary styled casino hosted glamorous celebrity gamblers such as Kristen Stewart, Rita Ora, Geraldine Chaplin, and Julianne Moore to name but a few. Each fashionista dressed in customized Chanel designs and dazzled over the top diamonds which certainly stirred up some action.

The legend, Karl Lagerfield, made use of 3D printing for a fun futuristic version of the classic Chanel suit. However he also reverted to more conventional couture methods for the majority of the collection. The showstopper of the show, Kendall Jenner, walked in as the Chanel bride, wearing a white double-breasted trouser suit with a long veil training from her shoulders.

Karl confirmed that his inspiration was inspired by “The ambiance of casinos at a time when people dressed up. They didn’t appear to try and win to pay the rent at the end of the month. Today casinos are a bit more dreary because people no longer get dolled up.”
