Having seen hundreds of speeches, this is by far THE MOST emotional, heartfelt and personal that we have ever seen. A father showing, SINGING to his daughter on her wedding day to the most appropriate and loveliest of songs ‘I loved her first’ by heartland.

Its obvious to say that us ladies are always ‘daddies little girls’  and they own our hearts from day dot, just as we do theirs. We don’t think there is anyone else that holds that place, but we do share it with our husbands to be and having our fathers blessing is of the most importance in this case, and this video is the epitome of the father daughter bond and blessing all at once.

The bride, Nicole Cortez said, “At my wedding reception my dad surprises my new husband and I by ‘signing’ and singing a beautiful song. I am a sign language interpreter so this meant the world to me. He said it took him the entire year that I was engaged to learn how to sign this song.” An entire year! Traditionally, a father would give a speech at his daughters wedding reception, tell some embarrassing stories and show some pictures from past times, but in this case, Nicole’s sweet dad surprised her by performing in a way unlike most of you will have ever seen, showcasing love and dedication, a great impression for ‘hubby to be’ to follow!

Notice the emotions and deep breaths of joy that Nicole and her husband take…and at the end, the sweet smiles of love that pervade the entire family. Our takeaway: plan something special for a loved one.  It might take up a lot of your time, but loving someone well is always worth it.
