Black is back for the most elegant wedding guests

We think you can never go wrong with black. Black clothing has been a firm staple for many and is a colour that never lets us down. Whether you’re dressing for an interview, a first date or for a formal occasion, you can’t get things wrong if you wear black.

Many people think black shouldn’t be worn to weddings (or white unless you’re the bride). It’s a sombre colour that many people associate with death and mourning, but we think black is incredibly elegant and classic and something that never goes out of fashion. In fact, if you’re attending an evening wedding that may incorporate a cocktail reception, then black tie will often be requested on the invitations. It doesn’t mean that you have to dress head to toe in black, but a simple black outfit or a cute LBD will look fantastic with some contrasting colourful accessories or a classic monochrome combination.

Black loves silver, so for an alternative Black & White look, why not rock some sexy silver shoes and a fabulous sparkly clutch? Black is becoming so popular at weddings we’re seeing it more often on bridesmaids and as part of the wedding decor and we love it.

Have a look at our video and inspire your future outfits with these fabulous catwalk designs from the 2015 collections of designers such as Balmain, Michael Costello and Pamella Roland because black is definitely the new black!
