Madrid is one of Zankyou’s favourite European cities (and not only because we were founded there!). So what better than using this beautiful city as our catwalk for an exciting new wedding dress collection! Brazilian designer Carol Hungría, photographer Elena Bau and Zankyou have come together to create this beautiful shoot. We think you’ll love it…

The new collection is called “Carol Hungría Blue” and the designer knew she wanted to show off her new creations in Madrid. “Spain and Madrid are part of my life story and they connect beautifully with the collection”.

Zankyou, Elena Bau and the models visited iconic Madrid locations like the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and Retiro park to create these stunning images.

A naturally romantic and bohemian look defined the shoot and the collection, so different to the traditional Brazilian style.

“We have created the poetry that all brides search for and dream about when imagining their dresses. They create this perfect scenario, with great weather, a fantastic dress and the breeze blowing in their hair…it’s a sensational image.”

After receiving lots of requests at her atelier, Carol Hungria decided to create the Carol Hungria Blue 2015 collection. Each dress is unique, with its own personality, plenty of romance and elegance – all essential concepts for any bride.

Each dress has its own name, after Carol’s own brides, making this one of the designer’s most personal collections yet.

There’s plenty of glamour and style in every dress, but the collection’s most dramatic creation must be Pássaro (Portuguese for “bird”). The big tulle skirt adds volume, while also adding lightness and transparency through its shape. The illusion neckline, meanwhile, creates a tattoo effect. It really is a work of art.

1920s-style Débora, meanwhile, adds a touch of glamour with lace and an original sleeve design, made of the tiniest pearles. Add simple make-up with impactful red lips and you’ve got a confident, elegant and sensual bride.

For a delicate look, why not try Sara. An assymetric neckline and delicate details in silver and pearls makes it an elegant choice. Wearing long hair to the side is also a great choice when styling your bridal look.
