On your wedding day, you spend a lot of time smiling at a camera, plenty of time with your nearest and dearest and quite a bit of time eating and drinking! If you’re planning on organising a destination wedding in Spain, we think the eating and drinking will be pretty good.
And if you plan your wedding at Madrid’s The Westin Palace – a luxurious 5-star hotel in the heart of the city – the eating and drinking will be great!
As previously mentioned by Zankyou, The Westin Palace works with consultant chef Diego Guerrero, to develop its exclusive menus and dishes. Some of Guerrero’s signature dishes, including his veal brownie or scallop dumplings with black garlic, are just some of the options for you foodies out there.
To accompany these crazy creations, The Westin Palace has a range of standard wedding menus that are also jam packed with culinary delights.
From canapés and cocktails to children’s menus, special dishes for special diets and a full-blown banqueting menu, you can have all the gourmet options for your wedding day.
The menus and their dishes
A 3-course menu starts at €100/person with a range of pre-reception canapés, which include goat’s cheese balls coated in pine nuts, mini caramelised apple kebabs with quince jam and cheese, mini spring rolls and prawns with a mango and Greek yogurt sauce. You can also upgrade to a superior canapés menu for an added supplement per guest.
Among the choices on the €100/person menu are a king prawn salad on a bed of melon carpaccio, hake supreme with a lemon and coconut sauce and hazelnut tiramisu.
And things just get better, with dishes like Japanese-style salmon tartare, white truffle ravioli with a cheese sauce, cod with tempura vegetables, beef tournedos with foie gras and grilled potatoes and a white chocolate brownie. There’s even the option of a dessert buffet (available with the €160/person menu) if you really can’t choose.
Extras
The list of culinary delights goes on and on and The Westin Palace can also provide savoury and sweet snacks and a sweet table for later in the night.
There is a basic list of drinks included in the price, including red and white wine, beer, water and juice, and you can easily upgrade the wine choices if you like.
In addition to all this yummy, don’t forget that you also get a test lunch, wedding cake of your choice and a night for the happy couple in one of the hotel’s suites with breakfast the next morning, either in the reception or in your room.
So if you’re looking for a wedding location where the food is as important as all the other details of the big day, why not contact The Westin Palace on the details below and find out about the feasts they can prepare for you and your guests.
