Do you want to spend a weekend in a stunning French château and bring a majestic and special touch to your big day? The Château de Villers-Bocage is exactly what you need, available all year and able to be completely privatised for you and your guests! Dare to live a totally unique experience on your wedding day!
As of 2017, the magnificent Château de Villers-Bocage is opening its doors and handing you the keys for your special day. Situated in the heart of Normandy and near Caen, this incredible venue today offers a unique concept in France, becoming the first private spa-château which has been adapted for wedding receptions, trips and holidays.
The château, which is located in a 120 acre private park, was built in 1637 and extended in 1766. In 2015-2016, it was completely refurbished in order to offer the best of two worlds: a private venue with the services of a luxury hotel and 21st century comfort, whilst still maintaining the respect for its rich history.
This refurbishment was carried out principally to satisfy the guests, to whom the whole château is dedicated. An experienced team will be at your disposition to organise the wedding reception, cultural visits, wine tasting, gastronomic experiences, or even to make the health and well-being facilities available to you.
The château boasts unbeatable surroundings: it’s not far from the famous D-Day landing beaches, halfway between Deauville and Mont Saint Michel and is surrounded by prestigious golf courses. With more than 2000m² of land, 70% of the space is dedicated to receptions and to the spa. The rest of the surface is dedicated to 12 bedrooms served by a lift, which also takes you directly to the pool, the two saunas, the sports hall, the cinema room and the huge marble jacuzzi which fits 15 people.
For your reception, several layouts are possible in the halls as well as in a marquee at the back of the château, offering an enchanting view of the château’s lit up facades in the evenings. The private character of the property has enabled the creation of an open dining room which can seat 40 people for dinners orchestrated by the region’s most notable chefs.
It’s almost impossible to resist this spectacular château’s exceptional attributes. It combines modern comfort, authentic and historical charm and the hospitality and event experience which has been recognised and praised by the Sunday Times in their list of the World’s 100 Best Hotels in 2010 for a very similar venue in Sicily.
