Alessandro and Michela had a dream for 2020: to become husband and wife and start a life together. Despite the unimaginable difficulties of this uncertain time, when keeping everyone safe is what’s most important, they had not stopped dreaming of the possibility to exchange vows. The couple of course knew that they might have to throw away every initial idea they had for celebration and festivities. However, they had always kept the enthusiasm going from the start, and only felt like they needed a few fundamental details; the foundations of their love story!
Everything was made possible by the instrumental help of an exceptional professional, the wedding planner Sabrina Cannas, who could offer not only her experience and creativity, (which is vital in complex times like these), but also a network of impeccable and reliable suppliers, which made Alessandro and Michela’s wedding both possible and magical.
Starting with the ideal location, the couple ended up choosing “La Perla del Tirreno“ in Maratea. Its breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear sea are exactly halfway between their respective places of origin, which is perfect because Michela and Alessandro were looking for a place that was familiar to both of them without, however, evoking memories dear to only one of the two spouses. In this way the young couple fulfilled the popular dream of celebrating a civil ceremony on the beach, whilst also having their close friends and relatives present as they created their first new memory as husband and wife!
Sabrina Cannas made the suggestion of the Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea to the newlyweds, given its abundant elegance and comfort. The welcome and availability at this hotel allowed the wedding planner and its suppliers to plan a thorough, romantic and detailed program for the couple and their guests. Truly an unforgettable “Destination Wedding” in Maratea!
Moving on to the organization of the religious and civil ritual; a ritual performed by the Adventist religion, which took place on the terrace of Lido Friab in Marina di Maratea. Immersed in the romantic sunset light, the bride voyaged across the sea to arrive at the enchanting beach of the hotel, followed by a well planned set-up where the spouses and their guests would continue their day in the splendid suites and rooms of the Grand Hotel. One of the details the spouses requested to Sabrina Cannas was to make sure that the family and the closest friends of the guests invited to the wedding could stay with the bride and groom in the chosen location, to share every moment and emotion of this joyful day!
Whilst establishing all the guidelines to protect the safety of guests and staff, of course, and a few weeks after the start of phase 3, the small, intimate and reserved ceremony that the spouses so desired was permitted to take place here, in the wonderful setting of Lido Friab, surrounded by loved ones, during the golden hours of sunset… The control, social distancing and tracking procedures following the Covid rules were paired with the discretion of celebrations, toasts, and the catering service on the beach, managed by the staff of the Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea and its chef Giuseppe Curcio. The catering service, flower arrangements and room décor were all in collaboration with the wedding planner Emilia Cascone Eventi, under the careful supervision of Sabrina Cannas.
Daniele Arieta, wedding reporter, perfectly captured the wedding as delicate and moving, warm and enchanting, like the embrace so missed in the spring months, as poetic as the beautiful natural setting chosen for the wedding by these young spouses.
All in all, a magnificent wedding, where love was certainly the undisputed protagonist of the party. Together with nature, the elegance and the romance of Alessandro and Michela and their wedding planner Sabrina Cannas.
