After 8 years of dating, Neuza and Ze decided to tie the knot with a beautiful wedding amongst friends and family. This day marked the end of the first phase of their life together before embarking on their next chapters in building a family. The wedding was held at the breath-taking Palacio Rauliana, and the day was captured by Rui Texeira Wedding Photography– both were excellent choices! Read on to continue this love story.
How did they choose to organise the wedding?
We wanted our day to be not only enjoyable for us, but also our guests. So we planned a ceremony that was an accurate representation of our personalities. We couldn’t have achieved this if we hadn’t chosen Father Robson Oliveira to conduct the service. Best described as a good-natured man with a strong Brazilian accent, he led an honest and compelling ceremony that included our most influential friends and family and a beautiful description of our journey as a couple- it was an homage to our love story. We even managed to sneak a selfie with him at the altar!
In the echoing Monastery in Leça do Balio, we needed a choir. We chose the Libertarians, who provided lyrical singing accompanied by the piano and violin. The party was kicked off with rice, confetti, white doves, tears, smiles and warm embraces… a party for all!
We wanted the wedding to be as intimate as possible so we went for the Quinta do Palacio Rauliana– a beautiful farm located away from the crowds. This venue choice was a key contributor to the dynamic and relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were happy to assist our many needs so that we had the wedding of our dreams.
How was the big day?
We made sure that the wedding was planned to perfection so that we could eat, drink, dance, and thoroughly enjoy the day all together. The day was jam packed with delicious food, free-flowing alcohol, and live music and dancing. Likewise we were ever so grateful for the support from friends, family and staff throughout the day.
The neverending surprises… we had Harley Davidson attend the wedding, the famous Kiko making the cocktails, and the cutting of the cake paradoxically combined our passion for dancing and horses- the palace put on a battle between the two.
Although the day was tiring, the thrill and excitement of it all and the presence of our closest friends and family kept us energetic and giddy. Our wedding was a superb celebration as well as having a relaxed and carefree environment. One of our most prized memories from the day was the positive feedback we received from our guests about our personal and engaging ceremony and our party that exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Every moment was so natural and passionate that our wedding felt like it went on for eternity; in contrast to the typical phrase “time flies when you’re having fun.”
Would they change anything?
If we could do it all over again? No, we wouldn’t change a single thing. It was an unforgettable day that we will treasure in our hearts forever.
