Marisa & Miguel are an ordinary couple, like so many others, but they have a very special story. They spent a lot of time together until they decided to get married which further cemented their feelings for each other. The venue chosen for their “I do”s was Zoomarine, a unique space, full of magic and lots of intimate spots to make all this couple’s dreams come true.
The wedding took place in October 2018 in an idyllic setting, where the couple and their guests enjoyed a magnificent party in one of the many spaces provided by the venue. Zoomarine is like that: A place where each event is treated with invaluable enthusiasm, reflected by the entire team of the organisation. The wonderful green spaces and their amazing areas allow up to 800 guests, in a celebration that guarantees all the comfort and refinement desired. Meet this wonderful love story by Marisa herself.
1. How did they meet?
At a college party, I a pharmacy student, Miguel a friend of a friend. We know that the pharmacy course is a course with a very high percentage of girls and Miguel could not resist going there to get an eye! Little did he know… It would be love for a lifetime!
2. How did you get engaged?
After 7 years of dating, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2017, Miguel asked me to marry him in front of everyone we love the most. He made a montage where all our friends and family asked the question, and, amid a lot of crying and laughter, I said “I do”!
3. How would you describe your love story?
We are soul mates; our marriage came to demonstrate that. As everyone said: Marisa is the female version of Miguel, and Miguel the male version of Marisa.
4. How did the wedding planning go?
Super organised, with the help of our wedding planner Doris, whose support was very important, but she also always told us that we were a well organised couple. Miguel was the groomzila. Yes it’s true! They exist (laughs)!
5. What was the hardest choice you had to make during the planning? And the easiest?
The hardest choice was to stop adding details, because we already had too many things and we didn’t want to control everything… The easiest was choosing the space and the concept.
6. Did you opt for any wedding theme?
We could say the wonderful M&M world. We didn’t exactly have a theme but it was more focused on cinema and Disney.
8. Where did you find your inspiration?
In our daily life. It was a day where we praised all that we like and that reflects our selves. In the end it was no more than an invitation into our world.
9. How was the big day?
Everything we had imagined! And it was even better! Everything went well, we had a great time and we believe everyone had fun with us. The chosen space was amazing, combined with amazing entertain, fantastic drinks, excellent cuisine and 5 star organisation!
10. If you could, would you change anything?
Absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
11. Where did you honeymoon? What memories did you create together?
We took a trip through Japan and the Maldives, two dream trips on a honeymoon. Japan is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating cultures in the world and it was absolutely fantastic to live every moment. In the Maldives we stayed at Velassaru and it was a dream! A small luxury resort that has turned out to be a paradise on earth. We really recommend it! Curiosity… all the new couples in our group who were in Japan were on their honeymoon and were going to end their trip in the Maldives. It was incredible!
