Following the gorgeous engagement shoot of Jenny and Arron shot by London Documentary Wedding Photographer, Matt Badenoch, we now have the pleasure and joy of sharing some of the most special and intimate details of their beautiful and international wedding with you. With friends and family gathering from all over, plus guests that had never met one another before but were as comfortable together as old best friends, it made this a super special and meaningful wedding.
The wedding took place on Saturday 8th August 2015, a lovely summers day, not too hot nor cold just the perfect wonderful wedding weather. The religious ceremony took place at the Grosvenor Church on South Audley Street inn London and the guests then continued and were welcomed at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross, Strand.
The Bride sported a beautiful layered and trimmed lace, side swept gorgeous gown by David’s bridal with Michael Kors shoes complimenting the gown and Arron looked rather dapper in a silver grey suit from Next.Their fingers sparkled with engagement rings from Hugh Rice and the beautiful wedding bands were from Goldsmiths, that later complimented and sealed their ceremony.
The floral details of the brides bouquet were a collection of soft, romantic Hydrangeas, spray and secret garden roses, gerberas and a collection of filler flowers. The flowers were light and pretty, an understated beautiful bouquet leaving all eyes on the dress and bride. Jenny hired Nance to do her hair and make up in the exact style and colours that she wanted, ensuring that every little detail complimented another.
Our guests were a blended mix of my American and Nigerian family and Arron’s British family and friends. It was great to see family and friends from each side, meet for the first time. I had a great time dancing with my family and friends and meeting my husband’s university friends. Arron’s best man Tom had everyone laughing during the speeches. My cousin’s 3 year old daughter stole the show, she commanded your attention every where she went and she never left the dance floor. We enjoyed seeing her twirl on the dance floor and enjoy herself.
Some of the most special moments, because the whole day was a dream, were most definitely the wedding speeches, our first dance that meant a lot to us (thanks Sam Smith) and my husband embracing an American wedding tradition with the garter.
It was so special to have such a mix of family and friends all together at the same place to celebrate such a special experience with us. All the different cultures and personalities made for the most amazing atmosphere and experience that meant a great time was had by all.
