Platform for young designers throughout Europe

INTERBRIDE is one of the most famous fairs in Europe, and now for the second year in a row is giving young, up and coming designers the chance to present their collections to wedding designers, manufacturers and the media. This wonderful fair began back in Autumn 2015, and aims to give young designs the oportunity to take their first step into the world of weddings.

What does the modern bride wear? What are the new innovative trends for 2016/2017? What are your new and impressive ideas? These are the 3 interesting questions that the finalists will have to answer this year, as well as presenting their new collections. This year will see a completely new design concept, with a red carpet leading to the exhibition halls, a Chill Zone and coffee bars, complete with beautifully ornate floral decoration. Young designers will receive feedback on their designs as well and advice and inspiration for future collections.

INTERBRIDE and trade visitors

All of the designers in the final have something in common: they are highly creative and have a love for fashion! The audience of experts is just as interested in bridal trends as the brides themselves, and this is why it is important that young designers have this oportunity to showcase their work to some of the best in the industry.

The talented designers:

The 5 aspiring young designers were selected from all over Europe by INTERBRIDE according to their creativity, inovation and practicality of their designs: VC Couture, Erlenn, Lola Cuello, Eleni Konti & COUTURE STUEN. We were lucky enough to be able to interview the designers to find out a bit more about them and their work!

VC Couture

The brains behind the VC Couture label is Verena Christmann, a German bridal fashion designer who has been making tailor made wedding and evening dresses in her studio for many years now. Along with her team, she creates breathtaking pieces, which have become more and more popular in recent months. Customers want perfecrly fitted garments, whether it be a bride or a wedding guest. The fit, design and colour preferences are the most important factors. She want to ensure all of her clients have beautiful custom designs for their special occassions.

For a creative fashion designer, creating bespoke dresses and always keeping the client in mind is one of the most important things. It would be a dream come true for Verena Christmann to see her designs in bridal boutiques throughout Germany.

Each piece is unique. Elegant, stylish, and full of tasteful detailing using pearls, feathers and tulle. Clean lines combined with playful elements. A hint of retro detailing, perfectly combined with modern features. Innovative, graceful and simply unique – all that embodies VC Couture. VC Couture

Eleni Konti

Her passion is fashion, and it’s one that has been clear for Eleni Konti since childhood – she is a born fashion designer who creates unique clothing with heart and soul. This is a talent which runs in her family! Her great-grandfather and grandmother also mastered the art of  tailoring. Inspired by this talent in the family, she launched herself into the world of fashion design. Training at the fashion school and gaining an insight into the work of bridal workshops and designers, Eleni Konti decided that creating bespoke wedding dresses was what she wanted to do in life.

For Eleni Konti it is important to expand her fashion portfolio continuously and to make valuable contacts with other wedding service providers and designers. Eleni Konti’s designs are full of  passion, creativity and the upmost care.

I want every bride to know that her wedding dress was made with love for this unique and important moment in her life – from a designer who works passionately on every new design and does the best to make brides happy. Eleni Konti
