Essential advice on what to wear to a summer wedding

When it comes to summer weddings and what to wear the possibilities are endless. This year is particularly exciting with trends bursting at the seams with amazing colours, bold prints and uber feminine cuts and materials. It has never been a better time to find that something special, which can also be worn again and again!!

White is a big trend for High Summer 2011. Be inspired by crystal-embellished dresses at Dolce & Gabbana. Tread carefully though, as wedding etiquette will dictate whether or not you can go for this trend. It is perfect for a white wedding. Do head to toe white or add a splash of colour with your accessories. Otherwise keep this trend to a minimum to save any embarrassing situations.

Vibrant colours are everywhere and have really taken this summer by storm. Wear with neutrals or pair with the same colour so as to colour block. Brave enough? Then go for one of this season’s biggest trends and clash the colours, a la Prada…. but be careful not to make your outfit too busy.

Seventies glamour is all a go. Great for a beach wedding or a destination wedding, this look is cool floaty feminine and chic for a long hot day! Pair with an oversized hat, big hair, wedges and plenty of gold accessories!!

English country garden floral fusion prints also reigned on the catwalks, look to Erdem and D&G for your floral inspiration. This is a great look for the summer garden weddings, with cute tea dresses and soft flowing romantic cuts, there is something for everyone!
