If you want a boho wedding, the typical setting would surely be natural, filled with flowers and hippyish details, right? This real wedding is actually proof that you can go boho with a touch of luxury.
If you’re interested in this type of look, why not check out this open-air real wedding for inspiration!
Couple Michele and Stephen decided to go for an open air wedding and celebrated their big day in a huge marquee surrounded by beautiful gardens, really underlining the boho style. Smaller details at the reception were presented in strong colours with handmade, boho chic touches.
The bride’s black wedding dress ensured there was plenty of impact from the very beginning. And the combination of nude underskirt and appliques meant the dress was dreamy enough for a boho wedding, but with that touch of luxury that the couple was looking for. Natural make-up and hair just reinforced her look.
Pinks, burnt reds, purple and backed up by lots of neutral shades and whites meant the wedding decoration was all about contrasts. Flowers, tablewear and ceiling decorations all reflected this, drawing attention to the tables and as well as the marquee’s high ceilings.
The informal reception layout was perfect for the wedding’s boho style, as were the worn wood tables. Wood, glass and metal for the tablewear and decoration, all combined with lots of flowers, made for a very classy look.
Pink, white and the palest of yellows came together in the flower arrangements (click on the link for more pics of pretty wedding flowers and bouquets, contrasting with touches of deep red and burgundy and plenty of strong green folliage.
And the wedding cake, in cream and gold, was just the right touch, not only thanks to its four dramatic layers but also the simplicity of the decoration.
We at Zankyou are very much in love with this wedding! Not only are the all the details just right, but that great combination of boho chic and luxury strikes a perfect tone for this couple’s big day.
