Amy and Simon had a beautiful wedding in a picturesque setting. Their ceremony and reception at Slaidburn Village Hall were special and personal, without the formalities of a hotel venue. We are excited to share their lovely wedding photos with you, courtesy of Rachel Joyce Photography.
Simon proposed to Amy during a picnic and walk that they took to the top of Longridge Fell, which has beautiful views over Ribble Valley. Amy didn’t need to hesitate to say ‘yes’, and they took to planning their big day straight away.
Choosing Slaidburn Village Hall gave the couple the freedom to create a unique look for their ceremony and reception. With a woodland/garden theme, they were able to incorporate lots of greenery, hessian and lace, with a touch of vintage glamour through beautiful flowers. The weather was glorious for their special day, and the drinks reception in the sunshine was made extra quirky with a VW Campervan set up as the bar.
Amy fell in love with her dress as soon as she tried it on. A Sassi Holford design from Kimberley Anne Bridal in Clitheroe, that has a lace v-neck bodice with sleeves and a flowing skirt. The couple chose not to plan outfits for the bridal party, and only Groom’s best man wore the same suit – everyone else could choose what to wear, and so the wedding had an extra relaxed feel to it.
