Lieneke and James married in the depths of Scotland’s green landscape in Aberdeenshire. Despite being prepared for a grey sky, rain and a strong wind, they were pleasantly surprised to see the sun in the sky and happy faces all around.

The weekend had a great program, from whiskey tasting to scones for lunch and real fish and chips for dinner. Completely in style with the location! The Dutch Lieneke and the British James married in Drumtochty Castle under the watchful eye of the families, and many international guests.

And although we always knew the bride would look amazing, we were all left with our mouths open when we saw her in the beautiful dress by Koonings Bruidsmode. Even the bagpipe player Julie Brinklow of Thistle Piping could not divert attention from the dress. James also stole the show in his Hugo Boss suit. The hair and make-up of Lieneke was done by Bespoke Hair & Beauty and fitted perfectly with the dress!

The catering, dinner, party were all held in the beautiful Drumtochty Castle, Auchenblae, in Scotland. This beautiful estate perfectly matched the rest of the wedding setting: Luxury, open, cozy but stately. Everything you wish for a beautiful wedding. Photographer Renate van Wit Photography managed to capture it all beautifully.

As it was a wedding weekend, the guests stayed overnight on the estate. In the evening there was plenty of entertainment including a pub quiz and music by Mike Eriksson aka Yellow Mike. After an evening of fun and a long night, the bride and groom got ready early in the morning for the yes in the St. Palladius Church. The beautiful ceremony was led by a South African pastor. The beaten gold rings of Goudsmederij eMM were finally shoved over! The bouquet, the flower decoration in the church and the other flower decoration was provided by Nicky Walker Florist.

After they said their ‘I dos’ the two went secretly for a beautiful photo shoot around a ruin. Scotland is full of ruins, but you will rarely see a beautiful picture like this. The view, the beautiful sky and the handsome couple made for an unforgettable shoot. The wedding day ended with great food and DJ Mark Wild made everyone dance. After a wonderful night and a nice breakfast the bride and groom left again. The new couple continued their time in Scotland for a romantic honeymoon!
