We are bursting to tell you about the magic created on this wedding day. Trust us when we say you are in for a right treat. Take a look through the gorgeous photos from this special day, taken by Jay of Jay Emme Photography who is known as ‘the ninjographer’ for the way in which she becomes almost invisible as she beautifully captures every occasion. The bride’s sleek gown and beautiful bouquet, flickering candelabras and elegant lighting all contributed to this classical British countryside wedding.

The Couple

This gorgeous couple who live in Amsterdam planned their whole wedding to perfection in Sarah’s family’s home town near Bath. As you can see from the pics, Sarah and Hans left nothing to chance with every little detail working to compliment the air of classic sophistication that ran through their big day. Their beaming smiles and looks of sheer joy on their faces tell the tale, this was one wedding that hit all the right notes.

Dress

Sarah found her bridal gown in the old city of Utrecht in the Netherlands. The beautiful, figure flattering dress she chose seriously exuded sophistication. The tailoring was modern, sleek and sexy with a high neck and button detail at the back leading to a train. She looks absolutely stunning in it, so it should be no surprise that although it was only the second dress she tried on she was totally sold; as soon as she saw herself in it, she envisaged herself wearing it down the aisle.

Venue

The church ceremony took place in Farmborough, and the marquee wedding reception took place on a plot of land in Park Farm looking over Prince Charles Duchy land in Newton St Loe. The advantage of going for a venue on a hill in the English countryside meant that they could have a marquee with an option to style it themselves which they decorated very glamorously, just take a look in the pics below. Many venues hadn’t offered them an interior venue they could customise as much as a marquee venue, so they were delighted with their choic! With the marquee placed on an organic farm, they also managed to get exceptional quality meat for the wedding reception!

Most memorable moment

Just as Sarah was ready to leave the house and go to the church, the wedding car broke down! Her make up artist had to drive her to the church instead, meaning it was a bit of a late start. As if that wasn’t enough, the replacement car which would take Sarah and Hans to the marquee also broke down! Thankfully their organised and fun photographer Jay drove them back to the house where they snuck a bottle of champagne to calm our nerves, and waited for another replacement car. It was a case of third time lucky, and they made it to their wedding reception!

The Details

We love the flowers at this wedding!  The striking bright colour combination and integration of candelabras made for real glamorous centrepieces. There were gorgeous huge roses everywhere! Henry from Bath Marquees did a fantastic job with their decorations, and managed to perfectly make the couples dreams become a reality. Henry’s addition of a sky lit roof in the marquee really wowed the guests  almost every guest commented on how it all looked so incredible.
