As the year begins, so does the international red carpet period. This past weekend, we saw the world-renown Golden Globes, where some of the world’s most famous actors and actresses joined the initiative and made history by wearing black in protest of sexual abuse, which was brought to light by the scandal surrounding Harvey Weinstein. The colour chosen by almost all of the attendees to support gender equality and join fight against sexual abuse and harassment, is not one that many would normally sport at the Golden Globes, but it did not effect the spectacular dresses from last night. The off the shoulder necklines triumphed, along with materials such as lace and fine tulle. The long sleeve dresses were popular among the actors and actress as this time of year is perfect to wear a very elegant long style.
