At the start of this month, the largest and longest trade fair in the bridal sector, The Harrogate Bridal Show, opened its door to welcome all of the best bridal suppliers and professionals for three days only.
There were over 3,000 participants, including some of the best wedding dress firms, along with new, up and coming ones displaying their creations for us all to see. Signature brands such as Le Papillon de Modeca, Casablanca Bridal and Demetrios presented their extensive and exquisite collections, from styles with back neckline tattoo effects to light lace, from 3D embroidery to crystallised embellished styles.
What we loved the most, however, was the powerful designs with highly decorated shapes and fabrics that came from a mix of brands. As for the accessories, there were platform shoes, floral headdress styles and jewellery that stole show. For the men, we were equally impressed. Tweed suits and Asian silks, like those in the Wilvorst collection, were very popular, as were vividly printed handkerchiefs.
