Year after year we see the new trends for wedding dresses complete with all the latest designs for each and every season with the latest fabrics, cuts, necklines and looks. Of course every bride wants to look their best on their big day. For some that means following the latest trends and paying attention to whatever is ‘à la mode’ but others may prefer something vintage from a year gone by. One of our favourite styles that never fails to impress are ‘pleats’. Inspired by some of the most traditional wedding dress styles, pleats are now being included both subtly and more obviously into some of the most fashionable dresses on the racks. So today, we’ve put together a few of our favourite pleated dresses and skirts.

Having been seen in the windows of wedding dress shops such as Pronovias and YolanCris, it’s clear that pleats are bang on trend and here to stay. The best thing about this trend is its versatility. Whether you’re a more casual and boho bride or someone typically romantic and traditional, pleats are bound to work for you and your sense of style. The good news is, pleats don’t have to be limited to a skirt or dress. Have you thought about incorporating some pleated sleeves into your look? Have a look at the photos we have compiled to get some inspiration about how you could amp up your wedding style.
