It was the 19th of April 1956 when prince Rainier of Monaco and actress Grace Kelly married in the Cathedral of St Nicolas in Monaco. A beautiful, fairytale love story that has gone down in history and is still talked about today, because who doesn’t remember Grace’s magnificent bridal gown? Today, we want to play tribute to one of the most beautiful real princesses that ever lived and help inspire you with her incredible bridal look.

Grace Kelly’s stunning gown was designed by american dress maker Helen Rose. The bridal gown, an incredibly feminine design was made up of a fitted bodice with French lace, a high neck, long, lace sleeves and the most incredible voluminous silk skirt. A princess cut gown for the future princess. Her magnificent Juliet Cap headpiece was intricately decorated with orange blossom, sparkling encrustations and pearls. A luxurious piece that held in place her 90 metre tulle veil. As you would expect, her jewellery was classic and understated, some discreet pearl and diamond earrings – simple and elegant. Again, simple but classic her bouquet was made up of Lily of the Valley.
