When brides begin to think about and plan their wedding look, it’s natural to imagine yourself in a dress. Whether it’s a fitted mermaid cut design or a traditional princess cut dress, women rightly or wrongly have always traditionally worn a dress for their wedding day.

Obviously we think all styles of bridal gown are beautiful, regardless of the design or cut, but with alternative, destination and second-time weddings becoming more and more popular, we think choosing an outfit that is slightly different to the norm is a wonderful thing.

Masculine looks have always been a symbol of power for women, and these strong looks are now moving onto the wedding scene. Clothing that over the years hasn’t been seen on brides is now paving the way thanks to many international designers and their inspirational catwalks. Pieces like palazzo pants combined with a fitted top or a transparent blouse and also trouser suits with a feminine cut, some a little more daring than others with plunging necklines.

Choosing an alternative outfit for your wedding day is much easier than it used to be! We want to show you some incredible options in this gallery. Whether you’re not a fan of dresses, want something a little different for your big day or you’re just a true fashionista, why not go down the trouser route? Stylish and elegant designs with a soft and feminine touch.

If Solange Knowles and Amal Alamuddin can do it, so can you!
