Amanda Wyatt’s 2018 Fall Collection is soft, feminine, and simply pretty. Her new range of gowns – entitled New Dawn, with its titular dress a masterpiece of floral embellishment and tulle layering – makes excellent use of the most delicate of fabrics, and offer something to every bride. The variety of necklines, from deep V-necks to illusion sweetheart, and the hints of champagne and gold tones across the collection add a cosmopolitan touch, making it feel contemporary and stylish. And despite these modern details, there is a classical theme behind the collection, with a fixation on ballgown and A-line skirts.
Amanda Wyatt creates a very real sense of romance in her new collection. Intricate lace detailing, heavy beading, and extensive layers of tulle – which would otherwise create a dramatic effect – is fashioned here to appear refined and gentle, perfect for the bride with a traditional wedding theme in mind. However, bolder gowns such as the Sahar and Gianetta dresses would also be great investments for brides exploring vintage and bohemian motifs. The Gianetta dress in particular is very reminiscent of classic Italian bridal designs, with its jewelled drop sleeves and heavy chiffon train – perfect for a Destination Wedding!
