The era of the Roaring Twenties continues to inspire the best providers of the wedding world. Why is this theme so much on the rise? Because of its evocative versatility: on one side, pure elegance with fringed and sequined dresses, long cigarette holders, three-piece suits and braces for men. On the other, the electric and provocative atmosphere with the arrival of jazz, swing and the desire to defy taboo. Today, Anaïs and Séverine otherwise known as the Berlingottes revisit the roaring twenties to offer us the most spectacular shoot Photography by Lauren Kim-Minn.

Party Decoration à la Jay Gatsby

Red velvet curtains, high golden ceilings, tassled chandeliers... Château de la Groulais offers the perfect decoration for the atmosphere. You can almost feel yourself transported back to the days of Jay Gatsby. If you’ve been invited to the party, you’ll have the pleasure of opening an envelope and finding Mademoiselle Créa‘s beautiful invitations, directly inspired by the graphics of the famous film adapted from the work of F. Scott Fitzgerald. For colours, the must-have colour scheme of the time was black and gold, to which the shooting team added touches of white for illumination.

Perfectly retro couple

The bride, Lindsay, is wearing a dress by Kamelion Couture. The bustier is worked with lace and exposes a bit of décolletage. The open back is finished off by a beautiful jewel that falls delicately in the hollow of the back of the model. The dress, edged with fringe, hugs the body nicely – very 1920s! We love the matching golden accessories that blend perfectly with the white of the dress. For the groom, Cyril, the Toxan team dressed him in very chic attire. A black suit, effortlessly classy and classic, accessorised with braces and a pretty bow-tie made up the gentleman’s side of the “Golden Twenties”.
