Since 2010 we have been offering delicious vegetarian, vegan, wheat and gluten free wholefood from our beautiful 1973 Citroen H van. All the food is lovingly made and very high quality; using unrefined, unprocessed ingredients and organic produce wherever possible. We also always use environmentally friendly, biodegradable packaging. Our signature dish for mobile catering is the ‘Buddha Bowl’, winner of Best Main Dish at the British Street Food Awards.
We are a husband and wife team. I am a lifelong vegetarian and have worked in the natural health business for many years. I’m qualified as a homeopath and have recently completed the kundalini yoga teacher training, while my husband, David, has been a professional chef for over 20 years, working at a number of top London restaurants including Vong, E&O, Eight over Eight and, most recently, since making the decision to become vegetarian, as Head Chef at SAF (at the time London’s leading vegan/raw restaurant). He also teaches vegetarian cookery at Divertimenti and Leith’s School of Food and Wine and we have appeared on River Cottage, the Travel Channel’s Street Eats and the well-received documentary about plant based living, PlanEat as well as featuring in numerous magazines and newspapers including GQ who described our Buddha Bowls as ‘legendary’! Our debut recipe book ‘The Fresh Vegan Kitchen’ has been published by Pavilion and we are currently working on the follow up ‘Wholefood Heaven’ due to be published in spring 2017.
We can be found on Thursdays and Fridays at Whitecross Street Market in London and at other festivals and events throughout the country. We’re also available for private parties, weddings and corporate events.
