The Villa Cusona estate of the Guicciardini Strozzi family boasts over a thousand years of history: the oldest document that testifies to the existence of Cusona dates back to the year 994. The Cusona estate, one of the most important realities in the area, stands between the green Tuscan hills, facing the famous medieval town of San Gimignano, easily reachable in a short time from the main cities and airports of Tuscany.

The Estate has been, and still is, elected as a favorite destination in Tuscany by historical figures, politicians and celebrities from the entertainment world. Moreover the political and economic influence of the family has marked the history not only of Tuscany, but also of Italy and Europe: Francesco Guicciardini, famous politician friend of Niccolò Macchiavelli; The Strozzi, powerful bankers, statesmen and condottieri, were the greatest rivals of the Medici. Their great fortune allowed Filippo Strozzi the building of the magnificent Palazzo Strozzi, the highest monumental testimony of the Florentine Renaissance.

In the 17th century, the descendants of the Strozzi Guicciardini family married in London with the Marlborough, the family of Sir Winston Churchill. Among the ancestors deserves to be remembered Monna Lisa or, better known as La Gioconda, immortalized in the most famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci and of which the current members of the family represent the fifteenth generation of descendants.

The park of the Tenuta, surrounded by centuries-old cedars of Lebanon, welcomes breathtaking events and celebrations, in an absolutely exclusive way. The historic cellars offer a frame of authenticity that can be transformed by personalizing them in a location that is perfect for immersing yourself and fully enjoying the truest of Tuscan traditions.

Magic and history make this place unique and full of charm, ideal for organizing any type of reception, combining elegance, history and comfort in total privacy and making your event unique and unrepeatable.

Truly appreciate the visit today, so much so that we have purchased a few boxes for home and now having dinner at Pancole with a bottle from you - a super Tuscan! Many thanks for the educational tour.
