ZIWAThe Château du Pordor was the seat of a powerful Lordship from the beginning of the 13th century.
Several times enlarged and renovated in the sixteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the current castle retains in its central part the essential elements of the medieval manor from the beginning of the fourteenth century. The castle has been miraculously preserved from fires and revolutionary upheavals. It is in this part, the oldest, that the current reception rooms have been fitted out.
Located in Brittany , in the country of Redon, 60 km from Rennes, Nantes and Vannes, Le Château du Pordor is in the heart of an area of 160 hectares and on the edge of a large pond. It offers a grandiose green setting for all your receptions.
The reception rooms and private lounges are located in the central part of the Château. They communicate with each other and with the outdoor terraces by large French windows allowing your guests, as soon as the weather is fine, to make the most of the park. Terraces and lawns are ideal for outdoor cocktails and buffets as well as for any extension by tents or marquees.
The reception rooms can accommodate 200 seated guests and it is possible to increase this figure by adding outdoor marquees . Various options are available to personalize your reception: fireworks, arrival by carriage, boat, jazz concerts ...

We were married on August 3, 2019 at the Château du Pordor and we recommend this place with eyes closed to all couples who want a magical place and extremely professional providers offering a very high quality service. Both the inside and the outside of the castle are sublime and it is possible to take advantage of all its spaces during the party and also for photos. We did a secular ceremony outside and the place set up for this purpose is splendid. Our guests kept telling us that the place was magical! Olivia, the hostess, was there to listen to us from our first visit to the castle until D-Day. We organized our wedding "from a distance" from Paris, but it was as if we had been there. Always present but discreet, Olivia perfectly coordinates the course of the day by not hesitating to organize directly with the other providers to relieve the newlyweds in the organization. We also recommend without hesitation the official DJ of the castle (DJ Malrow) who knew how to keep the dance floor full all night long, as well as the caterer Edouard Set who made a delicious meal that we had established together. If the day was to be repeated, we would not change anything! Thanks again to Olivia and the rest of the team for this wonderful moment.
We were lucky to have our wedding at Château le Pordor. A magnificent setting, a breathtaking place for magnificent photos (our professional photographer was in heaven), a place for secular ceremonies, everything was perfect. Olivia, the owner of the chateau, was wonderful from start to finish, available, to give us advice and extremely kind. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to marry with their eyes closed. What really mattered to us was to have dealt with human and quality providers, and Olivia is a big part of it.
