Premium The Château de Biscay , in the Atlantic Pyrenees, welcomes you every day by appointment, where you will meet friendly, available professionals who listen to you.
Located just 40 minutes from Bayonne and Biarritz and less than an hour from Pau and the Landes coast, the Château de Biscay was built under Louis XIV in place of a medieval castle. It was restored with the help of the Heritage Foundation. A sober and elegant building, the castle enjoys a magnificent view of the Pyrenees and offers you the pleasure of its two hectares of park and 8 hectares of meadow where horses graze. Time seems to stand still in this wonderful rural location which offers numerous possibilities for an exceptional wedding day.
The park and its superb century-old trees host your secular ceremony in front of the bandstand.
On the beautiful lawn in front of the castle, your wine of honor is set, you can enjoy a beautiful sheltered terrace, bordered by a vineyard, and able to accommodate 200 guests . Another very warm and vast amphitheater terrace invites you to join the magnificent barn built in 1852 whose frame peaks at 11 meters. A large gathering will choose to set up tables in the reception room with its stone walls and centuries-old framework which can accommodate up to 292 seated guests.
The charm and total freedom of organization left to your service providers are the magical assets of Château de Biscay.
A few "happy few" have the privilege of sleeping at the castle, which has retained sumptuous decor and woodwork and where large, very comfortable rooms are reserved for them.
A cottage for 6 guests is also available on site.
You can also borrow old convertible cars on site which will delight you:
- A Peugeot 404 convertible from 1967
- A Peugeot 203 convertible from 1952
- A Hotchkiss Grégoire Chapron cabriolet from 1953 (exceptional car currently being classified as a Historic Monument)
We got married on September 15 in this magnificent, charming venue.
We stayed with Sylvie and Michel who were very welcoming and were able to advise us in the choice of service providers in advance. The castle is great and breakfast time is very friendly and enjoyable!
The site is exceptional with a view of the Pyrenees, an amphitheater for speeches and a pretty reception room as well. Despite the rain, the place managed to maintain a charming atmosphere. In short, Biscay Castle is as exceptional as my husband (according to my husband)

A remarkable and well-maintained site at the foot of the Pyrenees which offers us a breathtaking view where everyone can enjoy the cocktail with great pleasure. We complete with an amphitheater (welcome for speeches), an excellent caterer, a very beautiful reception room completely renovated, with the icing on the cake, owners Sylvie and Michel always available, attentive, smiling and very good advice so that the marriage is successful.

We got married at Chateau de Biscay on April 29, 2023 and despite the rain that came to the party we had a wonderful day!
In the heart of the Basque country, the superb view of the mountains of the hinterland and the Pyrenees is unbeatable. A serene atmosphere reigns at Chateau de Biscay! The rain did not allow us to really enjoy the garden, which is ideal for receiving guests, but the space under the awning was perfectly suited to enjoy the cocktail comfortably. The dining room is superb as are the rooms of the castle where we loved getting ready on the wedding day.
Michel and Sylvie receive at home and are very welcoming while leaving freedom in the organization of the wedding. They let us take ownership of the places to organize while being very helpful and available on the d-day.
We recommend the Chateau de Biscay without hesitation and keep a magical memory of this day. Thanks again to our hosts!!
