I approach your wedding as a story-teller so that when you look back on your pictures, you'll be stirred with memories of moments you remember, and those you don't. I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in Surrey / London.
You have browsed through so many wedding portfolios and blogs, and you’re a little tired of wading through endless pictures of cheesy, contrived setups, and extravagant photoshoppery. You have an appreciation of why candid moments are special, what makes a great image, and how the two combined can evoke memories of one of the most emotional days of your life.
You believe your pictures should be a recording of poignant moments, not a collection of images that show who attended, and what they wore. When you look at your wedding album, you want to relive those moments that you remember, and those that you missed - memories relived as you turn each page. You want wedding photojournalism.
My work will be in the background, quietly finding angles and lighting that best tell your story in it’s most beautiful way. I concentrate on people: You and yours, your family, your friends. If this was a story book, you will be the main characters and the location is the setting. I’ll get pictures of your important details, the locations, the decorations - just enough to deliciously set the scene. I know how important formal portraits are, especially to family who want a recording of a rare occasion where everyone has gathered together. Then, when you have the time, I’d like to whisk you away for fifteen minutes or so for some romantic, natural, creative portraits of the two of you.
I'm based in London and Surrey, and cover the whole of the UK and beyond.
