The Tenuta di Artimino Member of Meliá Collection has its roots in a fascinating past, the taste of which can still be savored today by strolling through the magic of these places. A special place, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, where art, nature and culture intertwine to offer unique emotions and experiences.
The pride of the estate is the splendid Medici Villa La Ferdinanda , built in 1596 at the behest of Ferdinando I de' Medici and today a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Villa is also famous for its numerous chimneys: hence the name "Villa of 100 chimneys". The magnificent, finely frescoed interior halls, the garden with the romantic swallow's nest staircase, the ancient cellars... each space is unique and can be customized down to the smallest detail. The Villa can also host civil ceremonies, both indoors and outdoors.
The Estate also boasts a Hotel , in a structure of Renaissance origin which has been restored and maintains fascinating original elements. A few hundred meters from the Villa, following a tree-lined avenue, you arrive in the medieval village of Artimino , where there are over 60 apartments that offer an experience of widespread hospitality.
To all this is added the Biagio Pignatta Restaurant , with its Panoramic Gazebo perfect for less sumptuous ceremonies; the Wellness Center, with ad hoc treatments for future spouses; a cellar for the production of wine and oil extremely linked to the tradition of this area.
An enchanting place, with its splendid salons, cellars, the stairway that dominates the center of the villa ... here we got married and here we are back for Christmas, on the occasion of the store of gifts. What a thrill to see the fireplaces all lit up like then, the bruscato bread on the embers, the aroma of the wines, until I revisited dressed as a bride ... Then going up I saw again the little church, all frescoed and the magnificent hall of our reception, what a joy !! I was moved. I would like Villa Ferdinanda to be open to the public more often to give everyone the chance to enjoy the beauty of this place. I thank you today as then for letting me relive a fairy tale of another era!
