One of the highlights of the London bridal trade event White Gallery in the last five years has been the Designer Fashion Shows. Whether showing the work of one designer or several different ones, the shows will be full of …
Who’s Who at the White Gallery 2012
So we at Zankyou are getting ridiculously excited for the White Gallery in London this month. To prepare you and ourselves for what to expect, we’re going to present some of the key designers who are showing this week. We’ve recently discussed some of the British talents presenting their new styles at the White Gallery, so let’s concentrate on the international talents, as well as some more home-grown collections!
The duo behind Anoushka G are Anna and George Hadji, and the results of this partnership are breathtaking. The bridal collection is one of true beauty. The designers know exactly how to complement a woman’s body and these figure hugging beauties caress and flatter each curve. We cant wait for the new collection!
The Kiusi 2012 collection is simple and approachable, yet the quality of design is astounding. Wearing these dresses would surely be a pleasure! I’m looking forward to see if the 2013 collection includes more short dresses and immaculate tailoring.
Victorio y Lucchino
The Victorio y Lucchino 2013 collection has already debuted at the Barcelona Bridal Week, and the romantic yet classic collection is sure to be a crowd-pleaser when it is shown in London. The floral appliqués on the dress above seem to flutter in pictures, so imagine how truly beautiful they would be in person.
Beautiful clean lines and intricate detailing formed from the finest materials. We hope the new collection is a wonderful as the Augusta Jones 2012 collection! The middle dress above is reminiscent of the wonderful Alexander McQueen dress that Kate Middleton wowed the world with last year, and Marilyn (on the left) is very Audrey Hepburn isn’t it?
Here’s a designer who believes in individuality and the dresses of the 2013 collection really benefit from this. The designs include shapes and colours not traditionally associated with bridal wear such as drop waists and coloured chiffon overlays, but it is still a feminine collection that would be well suited for a fashion forward bride. I also need those headdresses in my life!
Here’s another designer who showed their 2013 at Barcelona Bridal Week, and what a collection! Truly eclectic in styles, if you’re not sure if you want a flapper look, a gipsy style or a romantic Wuthering Heights inspired gown, this might be the perfect designer for you. There’s even a pair of skinny trousers in there!
Which collections are you excited to see? Remember to check in at Zankyou regularly because we’ll be reviewing some of our favourite collections shortly after the White Gallery!
