Martha Stewart hosted her wedding special in April

US chatshow host and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart broadcast her wedding special last week. Stewart, whose magazine Martha Stewart Weddings provides all kind of information for brides-to-be, welcomed, along with the magazine’s editor Darcy Miller, several wedding gurus to her studio to give advice on wedding trends for the coming months.

If you want to take a look at the show, then head for the official website, where you can catch the whole thing. There’s advice on hair, make-up and decoration – all useful for you. However, perhaps one of the most important and exciting guests on the show was Vera Wang.

She gave a quick hint of how the Vera Wang bride will look in 2010, with “tumbled”, light dresses, inspired by ball gowns.

Stiff looks don’t come into it, then, making the romanticism of Wang’s dresses light and flowing, rather than stifled and structured.

And colour was still there, with a green dress that evoked what Wang called “garden colours”.

Beauty advice included the essential false eyebrows, and decoration concentrating on a very delicate look, using fresh gypsophelia and, interestingly, grapes.
