Wedding make up trends for 2012- remember to flutter those lashes!
For a bride, there’s more to their wedding day ensemble that simply just a dress. You have to consider the hairstyle, the shoes, the accessories and of course, the make up. The outfit has to be perfect and the make up has to compliment your sartorial decisions. So, what are the trends for wedding make-up in 2012? Zankyou Magazine has taken a closer look at the issue of false eyelashes and has asked this question: is 2012 the triumphant year of false eyelashes on the big day or not?

We can safely say that the answer is yes! Fake eyelashes are and will continue to be trendy. Many brands and designers have paraded models wearing false eyelashes during the most important fashion weeks such as Paris, New York and London. The American designer Marc Jacobs is one of the designers championing the false lash.

The 2012 collections saw the marriage of dramatic impactive lashes with ‘barely-there-make-up. This includes discrete shadows and light tones of blusher teamed with thick eye-liner and lashings of mascara.

But what exactly can a false eyelash achieve on your wedding day? A deep and seductive look is the answer, reminiscent of the great movie stars of the past. Think Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor meet Twiggy circa 1960‘s.

Of course, there are different degrees of drama when it comes to eyelashes. Subtle strokes of eye-liner and mascara can create an impact without looking over done or too “fake”. Consequently, stick on eyelashes are not the only option. You can opt for an eyelash extension for a more natural look.
Whatever you decide is best for you, just remember ladies, flutter those lashes and you’re on to a winner!
