Wedding dresses with pockets
Lots of fashion novelties are coming out of the Spring 2011 collections – removable skirts, peplums (love ‘em) and pockets. Yes, pockets! It shouldn’t be to surprising, when you think about how much stuff a bride has to carry, but this really isn’t about practicality, it’s about structure and style!
So with brides twittering from the altar and all that work making sure your lippy looks immaculate, pockets sound like a great idea don’t they. However, it’s not all about carrying stuff around in a more practical way – wedding dresses with pockets are a little less formal, a little more fashionable and well, I think they look really cool.
Rosa Clará’s Spring 2011 collection contained a couple of dresses with pockets. Models walked down the catwalk with their hands in them and looked a little more relaxed, with a funky edge.
Wedding dresses with pockets are not new, it seems, according to this post about bridal gowns with pockets. As you can see from these older photos, they’re a very nice touch that just adds a little detail to the dress, which can be modern or even hippy-like. And pockets are looking right this season on all kinds of styles, from short cocktail-style dresses to long flowing masterpieces.
So what do you think? Would you wear a bridal gown with pockets???
