Wedding dress trends for 2012 are showing the transition of red carpet-inspired glamour to the bridal runways. From plunging Vs, high splits, sparkly beading and cap sleeves, we take a look at some of the most popular wedding dress trends for this year’s bride.

Fringes and ruffles bring that romantic feminine touch this season, with layers of flowing material and organza this look will truly have you gliding up the aisle.

Capped sleeves in fabric, lace and sheer tulle give a great alternative to a strapless
dress.  The style flatters most body types and is a great way to show off your shoulders with a bit more coverage.

Sparkles and beadwork adorn many gowns this season giving that element of red carpet glitz and glam.

Pinks, blushes, tans and taupes were very prevalent colours on the runway this season

Most of the major collections had a deep V either in the front or back of the dress some with both, but with feminine cuts that flatter without revealing too much.

In fact, there are a lot of unique necklines this season, barely there, sheer necklines, with embellishments or lace appliqué and patchwork application on a nude base creating an almost dreamlike couture.
