To bring to life this original style of decor, you don’t need to fill your wedding with fruits. The trick is to think outside of the box and explore other alternatives to help you create the look you want. An important factor is to remember that these tones work best for a day wedding, bathed in natural sunlight and will create a vibrant setting that your guests will adore. You can mix and match various tones to create a unique colour combination, with white, ivory and coral working as perfect base colours.

For your wedding you need to choose the most apt colours that will really stand out, especially in certain aspects of your decor that you want guests to focus on. For example, you can complement your bridal look with a bouquet of peonies in citrus, coral or pink tones. Your bridesmaids can wear contrasting citrus tones, or the same colour in mismatching designs which is currently very en trend. Accessories and even playful shoes in a colourful tone will contrast beautifully well with a traditional white gown.

Table settings are also a very important part of your wedding decor. If you really want to carry this citrus colour scheme all the way through, we recommend you choose flowers in vibrant tones, full of energy. These can be displayed as part of your centrepieces, or even as floral arrangements for your actual wedding ceremony. Using striped ribbon in various tones to tie the floral arrangements is a wonderful contrast that works so well with these colours. These could then be tied to your ceremony chairs, used to line the aisle, or even as a playful backdrop for the altar.

Choose geometric and floral patterns in citrus tones. These can be used in the form of tablecloths, napkins and even on the decor for your dessert table or guest book. It’s also important that you complement your decor with some natural fruits that give us these wonderful colours. Oranges, lemons and limes would look incredible as a centrepiece or as guest seating cards. This could be carried through to your food and drink choices, with colourful drinks and cocktails, a lemon cake instead of a traditional fruit cake and maybe even some yummy sorbets for dessert. Not only will these taste delicious, but they’ll also form part of your decor in the most spectacular way.
